Lake|Flato has gained international recognition for designing houses that capture the unique beauty of a client’s site, respond to the region’s climate and connect its inhabitants to the natural environment. We listen to each client’s dreams and aspirations, and carefully craft a design through an inclusive and collaborative process.
Through thoughtful consideration of the environmental context, energy modeling and the LEED for Homes program, we develop sustainable strategies to shape our designs, and ultimately conserve natural resources and create healthy built environments. Homes designed by Lake|Flato have been published in a variety of periodicals such as Architectural Digest, The New York Times Magazine, Metropolitan Home and Western Interiors and Design as well as over 50 books.
