Supporting the Texas Hill Country after Devastating Floods

Our hearts are heavy this week following the catastrophic devastation in Kerr County and surrounding areas in the Texas Hill Country, and we join the affected communities in mourning the unfathomable loss felt throughout the state.

Our big, geographically diverse Texas, and the Texas Hill Country in particular, has inspired us since the inception of our firm. The Hill Country is a beautiful corner of the world, a magical, beloved respite from the harsh Texas heat defined as much by its rivers and cypress trees as its close-knit communities that many of our friends are lucky to call home.

We are deeply inspired by the community’s quick call to action and are joining many others in offering our support during this difficult moment. When the time comes, we are hopeful we can band together with friends and collaborators to support the impacted communities beyond their immediate need. We are committed to offering our support both presently and in the long-term effort to rebuild.

To avoid overwhelming the local community with physical goods and volunteers, we have chosen to support the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund with a monetary donation. If you would like to extend your support, please consider the following resources:

  • Texas Search and Rescue is collecting donations for search, rescue and recovery efforts. TEXSAR also provides news updates on its website.
  • Southern Oaks Church in Kerrville is accepting gift cards from H-E-B, Wal-Mart and Visa at church offices at 122 North Valley View Drive and monetary donations online.
  • The Salvation Army is providing emergency aid, food, drinks and supplies.

To help us expand and keep our list of resources up to date, please email marketing@lakeflato.com.
