Abby Hutchinson
Designer
Abby is a designer in Lake Flato’s Eco conservation studio. She is inspired by how the landscape informs design and the natural world’s ability to enhance our experience of architecture. As a designer, she approaches each project with curiosity and concern for the human experience. Drawing on her previous experience in K-12 school design, Abby brings an awareness of how people can benefit from nature and their environment. Having received a Master of Architecture from Kansas State University, Abby is inspired by the neuroscience behind architecture and our environment, and how atmospheres are understood in the brain. Outside of the office, Abby enjoys learning new skills like sewing, graphic design for small businesses, and watercolor painting.
