Austin Corriher
AIA, NCARB
Architect I
Austin is an architect in Lake Flato’s residential studio, utilizing a deep appreciation for craft, material, and detail to create thoughtful spaces and nuanced architecture. A North Carolina native, he believes that design should echo the state motto: esse quam videri, to be rather than to seem. Honest architecture should speak to the vernacular and have a meaningful relationship to its context. Austin earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from North Carolina State University with a certificate in Public Interest Design, focused on providing inspiring architecture to underserved communities. He’s an avid tinkerer and an enthusiastic generalist who loves learning about the world around him.
