Architect I
Flynn is a designer in Lake Flato’s Eco Conservation studio. Flynn’s work is rooted in a tactile understanding of material and craft, coming from his background as an artist and woodworker. He has a deep connection to the landscape and strives for environmental stewardship in his work, leveraging regional materials and finding inspiration in the vernacular. Prior to joining Lake Flato, Flynn worked in the field of mass timber design and research, focusing on embodied carbon reduction, wood sourcing, and material re-use. Flynn holds a Bachelors in Studio Art from Lewis & Clark College and a Masters in Architecture from the University of Oregon. When he’s not working, you can find Flynn playing guitar, baking sourdough bread, and working on his house and garden.
