Michael Coyle
Designer II
Michael is a project designer in Lake Flato’s Residential Studio, with a strong interest in how architecture influences emotions, perceptions, and shapes the way we interact with one another. After studying at the Rhode Island School of Design, he honed his skills at Robert A.M. Stern Architects (RAMSA), where he worked on numerous luxury single-family residences and deepened his understanding of traditional detailing and craftsmanship. In 2022, Michael returned to his hometown of San Antonio to join the team at Lake Flato.
Outside of the office, Michael can be found playing a wide range of alternative pop-punk music from the early 2000s and attempting to wear colors other than black. He is also an avid maker, enjoying woodworking, ceramics, and recreating movie props—a passion fueled by his love for TV and film, as well as his admiration for former MythBusters host Adam Savage.
