Reese Joseph
Intern
Reese is the Design Performance Intern at Lake Flato Architects, with a deep-rooted passion for sustainability, equity, and creating spaces that foster human connection and resilience. Their commitment to environmentally and socially responsible design spans professional practice, academic leadership, and community-based work.
As an undergraduate, Reese founded the Committee on the Environment for Students (COTES) at UTSA to engage peers in the AIA Framework for Design Excellence and expand conversations around sustainable architecture. They are currently leading a community-driven bus stop project with Circular San Antonio, a local nonprofit. Designed through a collaborative process, the project draws on ideas from students, interdisciplinary professionals, and local artists, and is constructed entirely from reclaimed materials
