Sunnie is a dedicated and passionate architect who specializes in creating designs that honor and reflect the unique cultural and environmental context of each site. As a Senior Associate, she plays a vital role in guiding projects from conception to completion, ensuring that the original vision is effectively realized during the construction phase. Her meticulous attention to detail and collaborative approach enable her to coordinate seamlessly with various consultants, with a particular focus on construction administration.
Her leadership and design philosophy have contributed to several acclaimed projects, including Confluence Park, recognized with both an AIA COTE Top Ten Award and an AIA Honor Award, and Scottsdale Civic Center Plaza, which received the ASLA Award of Excellence. Additionally, the Houston Zoo’s Jack’s Café is tracking LEED Gold Certification, reflecting her commitment to sustainability.
A proud Ragin Cajun from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Sunnie is also passionate about integrating cultural and environmental considerations into her work. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys cycling with Bicycle Heaven and actively cultivating native Texas plants in her Monarch Butterfly and Pollinator Habitat garden, transforming her front yard into a thriving native prairie, and supporting local ecosystems.
