Ted Flato is an AIA Gold Medal recipient, founder, and partner at Lake Flato Architects. Ted has received wide acclaim both nationally and internationally for his artful and practical regional designs which incorporate indigenous building forms and material palettes that connect people to their environmental and cultural context. Sustainability is integral to his design process, and has resulted in numerous highly sustainable award-winning projects. Ted is passionate about creating meaningful relationships between people and natural landscapes.
His commitment to sustainable environments does not end with his designs. Ted’s notoriety has earned him invitations to lecture across the nation on subjects such as, healthy building and sustainable strategies, fostering community, and healthy office culture, among many other topics. Ted Flato has always been an innovator.
