Victor Mardikian
AIA
Architect I
Victor joined Lake Flato in 2021 and is a designer in our Residential studio. Originally from France, he grew up in southeastern United States, surrounded by musical instruments, archaeological artifacts, and paintings. His upbringing and multi-cultural background have set the foundation for his approach towards architecture as a layered and textured assemblage of space, and he is drawn to the use of vernacular typologies and materials. In an age of ecological precarity, he believes in straight-forward, low-carbon design solutions that harmonize with the environment while enhancing people’s quality of life. Victor holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Clemson University and a Master’s in Architecture from the University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning. Aside from architectural work, he enjoys exploring the outdoors, playing the piano and nurturing his bonsai garden.
