Yusuf Abdul-Rakib

Yusuf is a designer in Lake Flato’s Residential studio. Raised in Yemen, Yusuf’s observant nature led to a deep passion for design and architecture from an early age. After moving to the United States for high school, he pursued and earned a Bachelor of Science in architecture from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Yusuf’s multicultural background and diverse interests have shaped his approach to creating spaces that are functional, meaningful, and rooted in their context. Outside the office, Yusuf spends his spare time in his studio creating custom furniture pieces that reflect his love for craftsmanship. He also enjoys art and exploring nature, which inspires his architectural design and thinking.
