As a crucial component of this redevelopment initiative, this 19-acre district will aim to bring a thoughtfully layered and memorable urban experience that enriches the historic fabric and helps create a mixed-use destination that is unlike any other. It will artfully juxtapose the old and the new, paying homage to the historical ethos of Stockyards Western Heritage, influencing both building and landscape design. Over 20 new buildings that include retail, restaurants, hospitality venues and office spaces will create a “casually sophisticated” environment that extends the visitors stay in the Stockyards.
