Madrone Mesa Ranch
A family compound on 206 acres of land outside of Marble Falls Texas, this project first began as a retreat from Austin, then turned into a fulltime residence for a retired couple. The project includes a party barn centered around a large courtyard with a pool, an adjacent 3-bedroom guest house, and separate gym building. The barn is situated at the heart of the project, located within large mature oak trees, serving as the home base and gathering point for the client’s family.
Located just off the main courtyard, the main house focuses on large gathering spaces with views to the landscape beyond. Central to the project was the idea to create a vibrant gathering space with enough space to host the client’s three children and grandchildren while also providing a sense of privacy for the primary residence. A lake pavilion and sport court serve as recreational destinations removed from the main courtyard.
