Trinity School Midland Lower School
Trinity School is a private school serving 700 students in grades pre-k through 12 located on 22 acres in Midland, TX. The existing campus was originally conceived by the notable Texas modernist architect, Frank Welch, in the early 1960’s. In the fall of 2022, Trinity School engaged Lake Flato in a campus master planning effort focused on supporting growth in the Lower School grades, expanding the Fine and Performing Arts Programs, and providing new Athletics Facilities. The master plan also addresses the centrality of the existing Chapel to the daily student experience as well as enhancements to outdoor learning and landscape design.
Phase 1 includes a New Lower School for grades K-4, an all-school library, new Campus Entry and gracious Landscapes for Learning and Play. The new buildings include modern, daylit classrooms and distinct commons areas for each grade, while connecting students and programs directly to the outdoors.
The master plan recommended 3 phases of new construction and renovations in service of the school’s mission to “provide a nurturing environment to enrich the mind, strengthen the body, enliven the soul, and inspire servant leadership.”
